Expansion of the Research & Development department
Starting May 1st 2018 Mr. Marc van de Ven has joined the Salmet team as Innovation manager. Marc is an agricultural engineer and has more than 20 years of experience within the poultry industry, both in R&D and Sales. Marc has a strong interest in automated technologies and innovations. To keep up with the latest developments, our Research & Development department is continuously involved in developing new innovations and product updates.

Field tests on the farm
Long-term tests are carried out at Salmets own test farms in Germany. Test installations on an poultry farm provide information on the true properties of the products when used in the field. Also bird behaviour can be studied closely so we can ensure bird performance is optimal in our systems. At Salmet, the Research and Development Department has been a key area since the company was established.

KG is a leading and successful manufacturer of professional poultry equipment for layers (conventional, enriched and cage free systems), pullets (conventional and cage free systems), broiler colony systems and manure treatment systems (drying and composting), based in Germany.
